Logic Pro’s next chapter is coming into focus. Apple has previewed a November 2026 update, with changes to sound discovery, drum separation and the way producers interact with a project. The announcement is about an upcoming release, rather than software we have tested.
Logic Pro 13 release date: what Apple has confirmed
Apple says November 2026; no exact day is announced. The “Logic Pro 13” name is being used in coverage, but Apple’s announcement does not state a version number. Treat the release window as confirmed and the final numbering as pending.
Logic Pro AI assistant: Mac requirements and beta access
The Mac assistant arrives in beta, combining Apple-built and third-party models. Apple describes help with production workflows, starting songs, vocal-track setup and refining projects. It requires an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac, macOS 27 or later and U.S. English. These assistant requirements should not be confused with the requirements for the whole app.

Logic Pro Browser: sound search and Splice integration
A redesigned Browser gathers sounds and uses on-device analysis to classify and tag additions. Dropping in a loop can surface matching audio; Apple also mentions a Splice library. For anyone with years of sample folders, discovery could be the more significant change than another instrument. That is an editorial expectation, not a tested performance claim.

Stem Splitter drum separation and Liquid Glass design
Stem Splitter gains drum-part isolation, replacement and rebalancing. Liquid Glass refreshes the interface. A Sergio George Producer Pack and Voice Memo Studio Sound are also announced.

Logic Pro pricing and Creator Studio access
Apple confirms the November updates are free for existing Creator Studio subscribers and continues to list a standalone Logic Pro purchase. The announcement does not settle feature-by-feature standalone access. We are therefore not describing every new feature as a free upgrade for all owners.
What is still unconfirmed before release
A firm release date, final version number and complete release notes will make this a clearer upgrade decision. The key question is how these tools behave in a real session: whether the Browser finds useful material and whether the assistant makes routine tasks quicker. Those answers need the released software. This page separates the preview from a review.
